About Carrie Mccloskey
My first goal in treating you, as my patient, is to connect with you. As your doctor, I want to understand your specific situation, how it affects you, and what your goals are. I know well through many years of training that there is no one answer for any problem, especially in plastic surgery, so it is my hope to figure out the best answer for you, with you. Starting at our initial meeting, either in the clinic or at your bedside in the hospital, I will take the time to get to know you, to explain to you and your family the details of your situation to the best of my ability, and together, we will come up with a solution. I understand and thrive upon the fact that this meeting will be different for each patient, one of the things I love most about the practice of medicine.I trained in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. Here, I discovered my passion for helping people feel “whole” and be functional after cancer, trauma, or other similar difficulties. I therefore spent a year furthering my skills in microsurgical reconstruction at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, predominantly focusing on complicated breast reconstruction after cancer surgery. While I am engaged in all types of plastic surgical reconstruction, my main interests and specialties include breast surgery, breast reconstruction (including implant-based as well as microsurgical tissue-based reconstruction), pelvic reconstruction, transgender surgery, and skin cancer reconstruction. Additionally, I enjoy breast and body cosmetic surgery.
