About Afia Rasul, DDS
Dr. Rasul attended University of Maryland, College Park and was a part of the science, technology and society scholars program at the university, where she graduated in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in neurobiology and physiology with a minor in English literature. She also graduated from University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2012 and was inducted into Gamma Pi Delta, a prosthodontic and operative honor society. While in dental school, she was a research tech and worked with the head of the endodontic department focusing on vertical root fracture diagnosis. During her final year, Afia was selected into the implant prosthodontics fellowship program to focus on implant restoration. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society. In 2015, she got married and moved to Richmond. Outside the office, Afia loves to travel and spend time with her husband, Zain, and son, Nyle.
