About Alex J. Mercado, DDS
Dr. Alex Mercado is a Northern Californian by birth, growing up in Antioch, California. He is familiar with the latest techniques in dentistry and welcomes the challenge of keeping up-to-date for the benefits of his patients. He specializes in creating crowns and bridges for dental restorations, especially those involving the front teeth. While these are complicated procedures, Dr. Mercado enjoys caring for his patients in a way that helps them stay calm and relatively comfortable throughout the procedure. He understands the desire for a good-looking smile! Dr. Mercado attended the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at USC and has done volunteer work helping underprivileged populations in the United States and Jamaica. Dr. Mercado and his wife have a son, share two dogs and are expecting their second baby boy in May 2020. Dean, their two year old, is ecstatic to be an older brother. Dr. Mercado enjoys bicycling in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. A former baseball and basketball player, he likes keeping active in his spare time.
