About Alexandra L. Braunstein, MD
Dr. Braunstein is a board certified oculoplastic surgeon that specializes in medical and surgical management of eyelid, lacrimal orbital disorders, as well as aesthetic rejuvenation of the face. As an expert in surgical procedures around the eyes, forehead and eyebrows, Dr. Braunstein offers each patient customized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs. With her advanced use of non-surgical modalities such as fillers and Botox, Dr. Braunstein achieves natural aesthetic results for rejuvenation of the entire face. Dr. Braunstein earned her Medical Degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Columbia University Harkness Eye Institute-New York Presbyterian Hospital followed by a Fellowship in Orbital, Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Dr. Braunstein is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Columbia University, where she teaches residents on a weekly basis. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. She has authored numerous articles and book chapters and has presented her research at professional society meetings throughout the United States.
