About Ali Mosharrafa, MD
My special interest in cosmetic surgery stems from the training I received from leading experts in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery. I completed my undergraduate education with Honors at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduation and obtaining my Medical Degree, I chose Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and completed my General and Plastic Surgery residencies. I am certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. and serve as the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital. I have written and published works about cosmetic and reconstructive breast surgery in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. I perform the latest state-of-the-art techniques, including all aspects of facial cosmetic surgery, breast enhancement, body contour surgery and tumescent and ultrasonic liposuction. My office in Phoenix, Arizona also provides the latest in skin care services, technologies and products at the Mosharrafa Skin Rejuvenation Center. I was extremely fortunate to train under Dr. Frank Gerow, the inventor of the breast implant, at Baylor College of Medicine. This is where my interest in breast surgery began. Since moving to the valley in 1996, we have built the premier plastic surgery practice and have improved the lives of thousands of patients from all over the world. I am grateful to have had these experiences and look forward to many more to come. I was honored to be recognized this year (2019) as the leading Phoenix Magazine “Top Docs” recipient in the entire beauty industry in Phoenix/Scottsdale with 21 years of recognition. I recently published, with the help of my surgical colleagues, an innovative surgical procedure for breast reconstruction that is significantly improving the outcomes for breast cancer patients.
