About Amy E. Daby, DDS
I attended University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry like my father Dr. Jerome Daby. I graduated dental school with high honors and have pursued my dream of working with family as an Associate Dentist at Daby Dental. Growing up, I spent time at the office as a patient in the dental chair and working as a front office aid. I saw the positive impact the entire staff had on the patients and the wonderful relationships that were built between them. I quickly realized there was more to dentistry than just teeth. It was not until my undergraduate study at University Nevada Reno that I decided to pursue dentistry as a career. I loved that it would challenge me and fulfill my desire to interact with people at a personal level and work with my hands. Since then, I have received a wonderful dental education and have mastered technical hand skills which qualify me as a dentist. What sets me apart, however, is the compassion I have always felt for people. It is this quality that brings another dimension to dentistry for me, allowing me to consider not only a person's oral health, but the person as well. Both inside and outside the Daby Dental office, I have found dentistry to be extremely rewarding. Through volunteer events such as CDA cares, RAM, Give Kids a Smile, a dental mission trip to Jamaica, and many others, I have been able to provide dental services to a population in need. With continuing education courses and involvement with California and Sacramento Dental Societies, I am excited to watch dentistry advance and be a part of breaking down barriers for all to access dental care. My interests outside of dentistry include appreciating the outdoors, travel, fishing, and my faith.
