About Andrea Botar, DDS
I became interested in dentistry at a very young age and resolved that someday I would become a dentist and establish a patient-centered practice. I was committed to the science and craft of dentistry even before entering dental school, and started my career in a dental laboratory where I trained bench-side as a dental laboratory apprentice/craftsperson. This experience helped me to develop an appreciation for the importance of artistry in dentistry, particularly implant dentistry, and I was also able to hone important skills such as manual dexterity and precision. In 1987, I was accepted to New York University School of Dentistry’s 7-year dental program, an advanced placement program for young aspiring dentists. I was equally focused on my education and, as a result of my hard work, received prestigious recognition for my academic achievements. My dental education did not stop at my graduation. I have spent the past ___ years accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience practicing clinical dentistry. Earlier on in my career, I also taught at New York University as an assistant Clinical Professor and worked as a course director and professor at Semmelweis University in Budapest Hungary, overseeing comprehensive implantology training programs. Further, I have previously taught multiple continuing education courses and lectured internationally to dentists wanting to learn more about implantology. Implantology has been one of my primary focuses throughout my career, and I have made an effort to stay current on changing procedures and tools in order to ensure my patients receive state-of-the-art treatment, with superior results and comfort. My patients are very important to me, and I have made a point to learn these skills so that I can provide these services in-house in an environment that my patients are already comfortable in, rather than referring them out.
