About Brian S. Duchan, DMD
Brian S. Duchan, DMD received his BA in 1972 from Queens College. He is a 1976 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he received the Lactona award in periodontics. He joined the practice in 1977, following a General Practice Residency at Peninsula Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. He is a faculty member of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine where he actively teaches third and fourth year dental students. He has previously taught in the postgraduate dental residency programs at Yale, Danbury and Peninsula Hospitals. Dr. Duchan has been awarded Fellowships in the Academy of General Dentistry, the International College of Dentists, the American College of Dentists, and the Royal Society of Health. He is actively involved with the American Dental Association and is a Past President of the Connecticut State Dental Association. Both Connecticut Magazine and Westport Magazine recently voted him one of Connecticut’s Top Dentists. Dr. Duchan is a founding Trustee of the Connecticut Foundation for Dental Outreach and has served in a leadership position on the Central Steering Committee of the Connecticut Mission of Mercy since its inception in 2008. Dr. Duchan is a member of the Connecticut Disaster Information Response Team as well as an emergency professional volunteer with the Westport Weston Health District. He resides in Fairfield with his wife, Lynn.
