About Brittony Blakey, DO
Dr. Blakey is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Dermatologic Surgeon. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Blakey obtained her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her osteopathic medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was a member and Vice President of Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Fraternity. After graduating medical school, she started her tour as an active duty Army Medical Officer. She completed her Internship and Dermatology Residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Blakey then went on to serve the remainder of her military commitment as a staff dermatologist at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia. There she held positions as Chief of the Department of Dermatology and Chief of the Department of Medicine. Dr. Blakey was Adjunct Faculty for the Academy of Health Sciences and received numerous awards for her precepting and teaching of the physician assistant students, medical students and Family Medicine Residents. She was the recipient of a Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, Army Superior Unit Award, Commanders Coin for Excellence, Commandant of Cadets Coin for Excellence and numerous service ribbons. Dr. Blakey practices both adult and pediatric dermatology. She specializes in dermatologic and cosmetic surgery including skin cancer surgery, elective skin surgery, Botox, fillers, chemical peels, sclerotherapy, and laser surgery.
