About Caitlin Wehrle, DMD
Dr. Caitlin Wehrle grew up inspired to be a dentist by her father. She earned an athletic scholarship to the University of Minnesota where she lettered as a setter on the volleyball team. Following an injury, she transferred to the University of Illinois in Urbana – Champaign. There, she co-founded Global Dental Brigades, traveled to Honduras to provide free dental care, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. After graduating, she discovered her love for Texas during her service with Teach for America as a High School Physics teacher in Houston. Although she enjoyed teaching, Dr. Wehrle aspired to fulfill her lifelong dream of being a dentist. Dr. Wehrle earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine – Illinois. She graduated first in her class, was awarded the Dean’s Recognition Award for Academic Excellence, was inducted into the OKU Dental Honors Fraternity, and contributed to original dental research. An advocate of organized dentistry, Dr. Wehrle held several elected leadership positions while in dental school. She served as her class’s representative to the Chicago Dental Society (CDS) and the Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS), and became the Director of the CDS’s Academic Chapter. Following her graduation, Dr. Wehrle was fortunate for the opportunity to work alongside her father at his practice. With a passion for learning, Dr. Wehrle values continuing education and takes every opportunity to better herself professionally, including completion of the 3-month Invisalign™ iPro course. She enjoys providing services in all areas of general and cosmetic dentistry, and is a certified Invisalign™ provider. Dr. Wehrle took pride in her community in Illinois, and is eager to contribute to her new community in Katy. When she is not at the office, Dr. Wehrle enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband (a Texas native) and their goldendoodle. She enjoys rooting for the Houston sports teams, but only when they are not playing the Cubs, Bears or Bulls!
