About Carolyn J. Pass, MD
Carolyn J. Pass, M.D., P.A. is a Board Certified Dermatologist who has been in the private practice of dermatology for over 25 years. Upon graduation from the University of Maryland College Park, Dr. Pass received her medical education at the University of Maryland Medical School. Her internship was completed at the United States Public Health Service Hospital. Time was spent in a medical residency program at St. Agnes Hospital prior to completing the dermatology residency program at the University of Maryland Hospital. Dr. Pass was the recipient of the Gold Medal Award - Class II Exhibits of High Teaching Value at the American Academy of Dermatology meeting. She has been the author of several scientific articles published in medical journals including: The Archives of Dermatology, The American Journal of Surgery, and Cutis. Dr. Pass is a past secretary/treasurer of the Maryland Dermatological Society and the former President of the Maryland Dermatological Society. Dr. Pass has continued her interest in academic medicine through her involvement in teaching of both the medical students and dermatology residents at the University of Maryland Hospital for the past 30 years. She is also on the active staff of the University of Maryland and St. Agnes Hospital. In addition to treatment of the various cutaneous problems including acne, skin cancers, eczema and psoriasis, Dr. Pass has had an ongoing special interest in rejuvenation of sun damaged and aging skin. Dr. Pass is certified and has had many years of experience performing Botox and Dysport as well as anti-wrinkle treatments including Restalyn, Perlane, and Juvederm. She has always felt it important that she personally perform all treatments provided to patients when they visit her office. Communication and personal involvement in patient's skin problems are an important aspect of her treatment. In addition, educating patients about their disease and how they can avoid recurrence of their disease process has always been part of Dr. Pass's patient care routine.
