About Chad W. Barber, DDS
Many people are more concerned about getting dates than developing career skills while in high school. But Dr. Chad Barber, a Michigan native, credits a dental assisting vocational education course he took as a high school student with inspiring him to become a dentist. He worked as a dental assistant for several years while attending classes at Oakland Community College and Central Michigan University. This experience gave him a head start on creating a friendly chairside manner that puts his patients at ease. He graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 1995 at age 24. He understudied his family dentist for about a year, then worked for another dentist while saving to purchase his own practice. He moved from Redford, MI to Plymouth in 2000 and took over the practice of Dr. Simon Cook. He remained in that location for a decade before relocating to a state-of-the-art facility in 2010. An expert in cosmetic, implant, and family dentistry, Dr. Barber addresses all your family’s dental needs. He is committed to quality. So, for example, he uses the best materials for his dental restorations and maintains the highest standard in sterilization techniques. He’s even taken the extra step of filtering water in all our dental treatment rooms to eliminate biofilm hazards from the water supply. A graduate of the Ohio Center for Osseointegration Mini-Residency program, he takes numerous continuing education courses to bring the latest advances in technology and materials to his patients.
