About Cheryl Mora, DDS
Dr. Cheryl Mora graduated from Vanderbilt University, summa cum laude, with a bachelor’s of science degree in Nursing in 1983 and obtained her dental degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1991. She received her Mastership Award from the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015. To earn the designation of “Master” in the AGD, Dr. Cheryl completed a structured and demanding set of requirements. She first became a “Fellow” in the AGD in 2013 by attaining 500 hours of continuing education and passing the AGD Fellowship Exam. She then completed an additional 600 hours of approved continuing education courses, including 400 hours of hands-on courses in the 17 disciplines of general dentistry. Dr. Cheryl is Past President of the Illinois Academy of General Dentistry (ILAGD), and currently serves as Regional Director of the ILAGD, as Co-Director of the ILAGD Mastertrack Hands-On Continuing Education Program, Chair of the ILAGD Continuing Education Committee, and Co-Chair of the ILAGD Membership Committee. She is also a director for the Chicago Component of the Illinois AGD Board where she served as President in 2009. Dr. Cheryl will be Program Chair for the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting in 2021. Over 28,000 dentists, staff, exhibitors, and guests attend that meeting each year. She is an honorary Fellow in the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the Academy of Dentistry International. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society and the Chicago Dental.
