About Christine Hervas, DDS
Dr. Christine Hervas received her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1991. She worked as an assistant research scientist in the Department of Microbiology at UT Austin and co-authored published articles with the then-chairman of the Department of Microbiology. She received her dental degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1999 and an Advanced Education in General Dentistry post-graduate certificate from the University Of Connecticut School Of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of her formal training, she was eager to return to her home state of Texas where she started her private practice career in Austin while also teaching at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston School of Dentistry as a Clinical Assistant Professor. She has worked in a private practice setting for the past 19 years in the Austin area. Dr. Hervas has also done numerous dental mission trips for those unable to obtain or afford needed dental treatment in Mexico and India, serving children/staff in orphanages in northeastern India, populations on the Himalayan Mountains on the India/Kashmir/China border, and in northern Mexico. She has also volunteered her services in the Austin area with Christina’s Smile, Texas Mission of Mercy, and Manos de Cristo, believing it is important to give back to others in her community. Dr. Hervas’ hobbies include ballet and traveling. She is an avid adventure-seeker who loves to explore the world with her friends and family.
