About Christine R. Totri, MD
Christine Totri, MD, MAS, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist and Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Georgetown University School of Medicine serving patients at MedStar Health at Lafayette Centre. As a general dermatologist, Dr. Totri sees patients 15 years of age and older for all conditions of the skin, ranging from common conditions, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, acne, warts, cysts, and lipomas, to rarer autoimmune skin disorders like lupus and sarcoidosis. She is an expert in diagnosing and treating patients with skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and melanoma. Dr. Totri completed a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology and Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley. She received her medical degree at the University of California, San Diego, where she spent an additional year to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Research with a special focus in therapeutics and assessing the quality of life in atopic dermatitis and other chronic conditions of the skin. She did her dermatology residency at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in New York City where she treated patients with complex disease. Dedicated to the continuing education of the Dermatology field, Dr. Totri has over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology, Allergy, Dermatologic Surgery, and Pediatric Dermatology. She has also given several lectures to her peers about various dermatologic topics at national meetings. She is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Society for Pediatric Dermatology.
