About Colby C. Evans, MD
Colby Evans, MD, is a private practice dermatologist in Austin, Texas with a long-term interest in caring for patients with psoriasis. At his practice he sees psoriasis patients with a wide variety of situations, and offers many different treatment options, from biologics to excimer laser and UVB phototherapy. Dr. Evans founded Evans Dermatology Partners in 2007 with a focus on excellence in medical dermatology. Since then, the practice has grown to become one of the largest, locally-owned and family-operated practice serving South Austin, with three locations and seven professional staff. Dr. Evans volunteers extensively with the National Psoriasis Foundation and he is honored to be the Chairman-Elect of their Board of Trustees, on which he has served since 2010. Dr. Evans has also volunteered with a free local clinic in Austin and as a faculty member for residency teaching at Brackenridge Hospital. He has served on several volunteer committees with the American Academy of Dermatology, including the Diversity Taskforce, Workforce Taskforce, and Carrier Policy and Medical Liability Taskforce. Dr. Evans was also the 2009 President of the Austin Dermatology Society. Dr. Evans completed his medical degree and residency in dermatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Evans furthered his study with a Clinical Fellowship at the St. John’s Institute of Dermatology, an internationally acclaimed institution in London, England. He holds an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with high honors in Chemistry.
