About Collette Ara-Honore, MD
Dr. Collette Ara-Honore is one of the dermatologist in the Chicagoland area. She is dedicated to your health and well-being. Dr. Ara-Honoré is a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dermatologist of the American Board of Dermatology. She is on staff at Our Lady of Resurrection Hospital and Trinity Medical Center. After completing her undergraduate studies at Boston University, Dr. Ara-Honoré then went on to attend medical school at Finch University/The Chicago Medical School, from which she graduated with both a Doctorate of Medicine and a Masters in Pathology. Dr. Ara-Honore did her internship at Rush Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Hospital, and did her residency training at Howard University Hospital, where she was chief resident in her final year. Dr. Ara-Honore then rounded out her scholarly career in a Moh's Surgery/Cosmetic surgery fellowship with Dr. Emil Bisaccia in Morristown, New Jersey. Dr. Ara-Honore is a well written and researched physician along with her many other aforementioned accolades. She believes in always trying to stay in touch with the ever-changing face of medicine. In 2003, Dr. Ara-Honore co-authored in dermatologic clinics with Dr. Rebat Halder, Chairman of Department of Dermatology at Howard University Hospital, entitled ""Photoaging and Skin Cancer in Ethnic Skin"". In that same year, Dr. Ara-Honore is also published ""The Remedy to Perioral Aging in Women"" with Dr. E. Bisaccia, and in the Atlas of Cosmetic Closures, with Dr. E Bisaccia and Dr. D Scarborough. Dr. Ara-Honore has done clinical trials at Howard University involving laser treatments of ethnic skin, making her a pioneer of the treatment of ethnic skin. Dr. Ara-Honore is an Associate of the American Academy of Cosmetic Physicians and an ACLS Certified Physician.
