About Craig S. Kohler, DDS
Dr. Craig S. Kohler D.D.S. M.B.A. MAGD has been practicing on the North Shore of Chicago for over 30 years. His dedication to his patients’ dental health is demonstrated through his dedication to the comfort and satisfaction of his patients, his use of cutting-edge technology, and his consistent pursuit of higher education. Dr. Kohler is among a handful of dentists in the country practicing microaesthetic dentistry, an advanced treatment technique that uses a microscope and video monitor. The extreme magnification lets Dr. Kohler screen for early signs of oral health problems invisible to the naked eye and make precise adjustments during treatments. His desire to give patients access to the same type of technology for thorough, consistent at-home brushing led him to invent Prophix, a video toothbrush and app system that lets you livestream your brushing, take pictures, and track your oral health care progress. Dr. Kohler has always made continuing education a top priority. After completing his residency, Dr. Kohler went on to earn his Fellowship and Masters from the Academy of General Dentistry by completing 1600 hours of continued education. Less than one percent of dentists in the country earn this esteemed award. His pursuit of excellence motivates him to continue to seek out instruction from acclaimed experts to this day. Dr. Kohler lives in Glenview with his wife, Jan. While running his practice in Wilmette, Illinois, he also teaches at Evanston Hospital and at the Spears Institute in Scottsdale, Arizona. He enjoys training for triathlons and spending time with his family.
