About Cynara C. Mcphail, DMD
Dr. Cynara McPhail graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts and then went on to dental school at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in Farmington, Conn. She graduated in 1984 with a degree in Dental Medicine. After graduation, she completed a General Practice Dental Residency at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, Conn. and has been practicing in Wallingford for almost 35 years. Dr. McPhail is interested in all phases of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, veneers, implants and root canals. Dr. McPhail lives in Wallingford with her husband, Jon. Her daughter Sarah, 27, a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall (2010) and Bates College (2014) is presently teaching third grade at the Hoover Elementary School in Melrose, Massachusetts. Son, Daniel, 24, graduated from Choate Rosemary Hall as well (2014) and a recent graduate of Bates College in Lewiston, Maine and presently working at Allego in Needham, MA. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Connecticut State Dental Association, and a past President and current treasurer and member of the Meriden-Wallingford-Cheshire Dental Society. Dr. McPhail has been involved involved with the Wallingford Public Library, serving as President of the Library Board of Managers. She has also held several different offices for the Pond Hill Elementary School and Dag Hammarsjkold Middle School P.T.O., and the Choate Rosemary Hall Parents Fund Council. She is currently a volunteer for the Bates Welcome Committee and is a member of the University of Connecticut Health Center School of Dental Medicine Alumni Board. She enjoys reading, sewing, knitting, running, soccer, swimming, traveling and gardening. Dr. McPhail has always been involved with her children's activities and tries to attend most of their sporting events. She is an avid UConn basketball fan, enjoying both the women's and men's games.
