About Daniel L. Forbes, DMD
After graduating from the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Dr. Daniel Forbes was granted a commission in the Navy Dental Corps and served 6 years of active duty. During this time, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Naval Branch Health Clinic Norfolk before being assigned to the USS Gunston Hall. As the ship’s dental department head, Dr. Forbes completed a deployment to the Persian Gulf, earning himself a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for his exemplary leadership and quality dental care for the crew. After completing his last duty station at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Dr. Forbes transitioned to the Navy Reserves and settled in the university Charlotte area to work as a dentist and be near his family and friends. He is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry and has extensive training and experience in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, and oral surgery. He continues to stay current in the latest advancements in general dentistry while focusing on providing compassionate care so that his patients receive the highest level of comfort and satisfaction during their treatment. Dr. Forbes and his wife Natalie have one daughter and another baby girl on the way. They live an active lifestyle – enjoying the outdoors and traveling abroad. Dr. Forbes loves to rock climb and play ultimate frisbee; and when in Florida, he likes to sail, scuba dive, and go spearfishing.
