About David A. Najem, DDS
Dr. David Najem knew from an early age that he wanted to become a dentist watching his father, brother, uncle and cousins practice dentistry and orthodontics. David views dentistry as a dynamic combination of healing, artistry and strong interpersonal bonds. Dr. Najem lives in Chicago with his wife, Shannon and their 4 boys. “My children are the joy of my life!” says David. David and his family frequent the many museums and cultural activities that Chicago has to offer. Outside the city, they enjoy camping in the great outdoors. Dr. Najem joined Abbey Dental in Chicago, IL following his professional training. He brings his extensive experience to provide quality care and personal attention to his patients. After completing his undergraduate training at the University of Colorado with a major in Biology, David continued on to graduate from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Najem then went on to complete a Fellowship in Orofacial Pain Management at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. During this fellowship Dr. Najem treated patients with head and neck pain, chronic pain, neuropathies, and headaches of vascular and tension origins. Dr. Najem then completed a Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey where he cared for trauma patients on the surgical side of the emergency room at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey. He also treated patients in the Department of Oral Surgery and in the Operating Room at University Hospital earning a Certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
