About David A. Paslin, MD
Dr.Paslin brings over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and biomedical research in broad areas of dermatology, dermatopathology, and dermatologic surgery. Dr.Paslin is one of the founding partners of the Affiliates in Dermatology. He has also been chief of dermatology at Summit Hospital, Oakland. For many years Dr.Paslin has been on the clinical faculty in the Department of Dermatology at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine and has contributed to the teaching program of the dermatology residents. Dr.Paslin also serves as a Research Associate at Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute (CHORI). In April 2011, Dr.Paslin performed surgery for skin cancer on California governor Jerry Brown. Dr.Paslin is Board Certified in both Dermatology and Dermatopathology. In his clinical practice, he has treated thousands of patients for a broad range of dermatological conditions, including hamartomas, benign neoplasias, malignancies, endocrinopathies, malformations, infections, autoimmune diseases, hereditary disorders, metabolic disorders, disorders of pigmentation, and many forms of dermatitis. In addition to standard medical and surgical dermatologic treatment methods, Dr.Paslin is experienced in dermabrasion, sclerotherapy, Botox, acid peels, the Iridex laser, XTrac laser, Dualite narrow band UVA and UVB delivery systems, Intense Pulsed Light, and surgical correction (sculpting) of rhinophyma.
