About Debbie M. Palmer, DO
Debbie M. Palmer, D.O., FAOCD is a Board Certified dermatologist who specializes in cosmetic and medical dermatology. Osteopathic Physicians practice a whole person approach to medicine and are licensed to perform surgery and prescribe medication. Dr. Palmer received her B.B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1989, where she was the recipient of the university’s Alumni Scholarship. She went on to complete her post-graduate studies in chemistry at the University of North Florida. Subsequently, she attended Kansas City University Medical School and received her medical degree, summa cum laude, in 1999. She was the recipient of the Janet H. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation for being the outstanding female student in her class, and was awarded membership in the Psi Sigma Alpha National Scholastic Honor Society. Dr. Palmer completed her internship in internal medicine in 2000 at Northside Hospital and Heart Institute, where she was selected Chief Intern, and her residency in dermatology at St. Barnabas Hospital in 2003, where she was selected Chief Resident. During her dermatology residency, Dr. Palmer held the position of National Resident Liaison to the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, and received the Excellence in Dermatology award for performing first in the nation on her in-training exam. Dr. Palmer is the founder of Replere(TM), a natural phenolic antioxidant skin care line. Dr. Palmer has presented various topics at national and international medical conferences. Dr. Palmer also served as the co-chair of the Westchester County Medical Society Public Relations committee for the 2008-2009 period. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology, American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology & Aesthetic Surgery (ASCDAS), the Westchester Dermatology Society, and the New York State Medical Society.
