About Don R. Davis, DDS
Teeth are the center of your smile, framed by your lips and face. Often our teeth, or lack of teeth, are the first thing people notice when we meet or greet them. Our confidence in life is enhanced by having a big beautiful smile. By restoring a patient’s teeth and giving them the confidence to smile, we can improve their life. As a dentist, I care for amazing people, each with their own passions and interests. Throughout my day, I converse with my patients, and we become friends. The connection we develop allows me to better meet their oral healthcare needs; they are more willing to discuss their concerns and desires, and we work together to find the treatment processes that are right for their clinical and lifestyle requirements. I’ve been practicing dentistry for almost 30 years. After suffering dental trauma as a child, I spent a lot of time in the care of my family dentist. That experience inspired me to go into the field. I wanted to deliver the same gentle, life-improving treatment to my own patients. As a dentist, it’s essential I remain current on developments in the field. With changes in treatment processes, the availability of new technologies, and new approaches to patient care, it’s imperative that I am able to offer my patients the best care options available. I’m a fellow with the American Orthodontic Society and in the Academy of General Dentistry, and am currently working on a mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Those professional memberships, as well as in the American Dental Association and the Texas Dental Association, afford me access to continuing education from the leaders in oral healthcare. By attendance at and participation in seminars and conferences, and studying the relevant journals, I keep my knowledge and skills fresh.
