About Durning Moore, DMD
I am Dr. Durning Moore and this is a little bit about myself. I am a native of Charleston, South Carolina. After graduating from Wofford College with a degree in Chemistry, I attended the University of Louisville where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Medicine. My wife, Natalie, and I met while at Wofford. She is a Nurse Anesthetist at Novant’s Presbyterian Hospital in Elizabeth. Natalie is a native Charlottean, growing up in Eastover, and after graduating form our respective schools, we knew that Charlotte was the place we wanted to settle. We have loved living here and setting our roots in the neighborhood. We are active around the city enjoying our many restaurants, breweries and are active members of our church, St. Johns. One of the most important things to me is being a part of the community that I serve. I learned this from my father, who is also a dentist. He instilled in me the importance of building trust through the relationships that establish. You are not just a patient to me, but also a neighbor, family member, or a fellow churchgoer. I take pride in the quality of care that I offer because it is what I would want for myself or any member of my family. That is why I am dedicated to staying up to date on the best continuing education that is offered. My goal each year is to attend 100 hours of CE, although only 15 is required. I have studied at the world renowned Dawson Academy, so that I can help my patients solve their problems related to worn teeth as well as TMJ and muscle problems, all while achieving beautiful esthetic results. I maintain memberships with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Dawson Study Club as well as the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. I also have a passion for giving back to my community and to those in need both statewide and internationally. I have served at local free dental days as well as traveled to Belize and Honduras through Dental Christian Fellowship to provide dental care to those that do not have access or cannot afford dental.
