About Elizabeth Mier, DDS
Dr. Mier is a native to the East Bay and is very excited to be practicing dentistry in Walnut Creek. Dr. Mier grew up in Danville, CA and graduated from Monte Vista High School. She then went on to receive her Bachelors of Science in Bio-psychology from the honors program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. While there, she was an active member of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, and very much enjoyed her semester abroad in Brisbane, Australia. From Santa Barbara, Dr. Mier moved south to attend the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. While at USC, she achieved Dean's Honors for nine semesters and was an active member of the Psi Omega Dental Fraternity. Dr. Mier was also very active with the USC Mobile Clinic, which provides dental care for underserved populations throughout Southern California. Building on this expansive patient care exposure, she completed an internship at the La Maestra community health clinic in San Diego, CA. Upon finishing dental school, Dr. Mier moved to Orange County where she practiced dentistry for four years before returning home to the Bay Area. Dr. Mier continues to be an active member of the Contra Costa Dental Society, California Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. She is also a member of the Spear Faculty Club, where she attends over 50 hours of continuing education per year, and regularly participates in local study clubs.
