About Erela K. Rappaport, DMD
Dr. Erela Katz Rappaport grew up in New York City and attended State University of New York at Binghamton, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She then continued on to receive her dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Rappaport worked in dental practices in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. While in private practice, Dr. Rappaport conducted research in a various areas of dentistry including a technique to remove decay through chemical means. She also was instrumental in setting up a dental implant registry for the Office of Veterans Affairs. Dr. Rappaport came to San Diego in 1991. She has two sons, Jonathan and Brandon. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rappaport is an avid gardener as well as enjoying traveling with friends and family. She is passionate about supporting organizations that empower and educate women in need of assistance.
