About Eric D. Cornelius, DDS
Dr. Cornelius is pleased to be living and serving in the San Antonio community. He was born in Springfield, Oregon and grew up in the country where he spent his youth involved in 4H and different entrepreneur opportunities. At age 18, he joined the ARMY and was stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where he spent the next four years working for Psychological Operations and also serving as his teams medic. During this time, he met the love of his life and quickly married her. Today they have eight children and have lived a very adventurous life all over the world. Dr. Cornelius and his family have relocated to San Antonio and are looking forward to putting down roots and raising their children here in the great state of Texas. Dr. Cornelius attended dental school at Loma Linda University. He served on the Student Government Board and was able to keep a good balance of family and school. He has a heart to serve others and has been on dental mission trips to Kenya, El Salvador, Mexico, and Nicaragua. His hobbies are sailing, hunting, mountain climbing, and woodworking. He also loves being with his family, camping, hiking, and spending time on the lake. Dr. Cornelius is passionate about providing excellent dental care to his patients, and he believes education is a key part of their continued dental health. He loves working with his patients to give them the best dentistry possible. Dr. Cornelius has a passion to spend the rest of his life learning. He has spent over 1200 hours since graduating in 2009 furthering his dental education in Surgery, Implants, Moderate Conscience Sedation and Orthodontics. Dr. Cornelius has received an Associate Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. In 2011, he completed the MaxiCourse taught by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. This course is one of the most respected and comprehensive training programs in Implant Dentistry taught throughout the US and Internationally. This program provides over 300 hours of lectures, labs, and surgery. Dr. Cornelius is currently in the process of becoming an Associate Fellow Member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. The surgical and medical challenges of implants are one of Dr. Cornelius’s favorite parts of dentistry.
