About Evan C. Stokar, MD
Dr. Evan C Stokar, MS, MD is a Board Certified Dermatologist, Dermatopathology Specialist, and a Full Time Dermatologist and Dermatopathologist at Advanced Skin and Mohs Surgery Center. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he completed the majority of his training in Illinois including his Dermatology Residency Training at Cook County Hospital, his medical internship at Loyola University Medical Center, and his medical school education at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. Following his dermatology residency, Dr. Stokar completed a fellowship in Dermatopathology at the prestigious Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology at New York University in New York. Prior to medical school, he received a Bachelor of Science in Biopsychology from The University of Michigan. He then went on to receive a Masters in Biomedical Sciences with a focus in healthcare management from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. While at Cook County Hospital for dermatology training, Dr. Stokar held many leadership roles including a shared chief resident title his final year. During his medical school training, he was elected into the distinguished Gold Humanism Honor Society by his fellow peers. Dr. Stokar will divide his time between direct patient care and microscopic analysis of skin biopsies, diagnosing and treating skin diseases both at the clinical and cellular levels.
