About Floyd J. Herman, MD
Dr. Herman is an accomplished plastic surgeon trained and experienced in today’s advanced cosmetic and medical surgical procedures. A renowned surgeon, Dr. Herman is a mentor and leader in his field, and blends his love of science and art with his desire to help others to produce natural results. Dr. Herman’s areas of clinical interest include minimally invasive surgery, cosmetic surgery, and microvascular and trauma plastics. His experience includes having been Chief Resident Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Detroit Medical Center, and is currently Medical Director at Grand View Surgery Center at Harleysville. As a member of several national and state professional societies, Dr. Herman keeps up on all of the latest procedures and surgical interventions; he holds himself to the highest standards of his profession. He is affiliated with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Montgomery County Medical Society. Dr. Herman’s dedication and expert surgical skill have been recognized by his employers: In 2010 and 2011 he was the recipient of the Best Surgical Resident Award, and in 2006, the Best Surgical Intern Award. He has performed and published medical research, as well as presented on topics in plastic surgery. Recently he published an Abstract in the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Journal. Dr. Herman also holds several patents on a safety product of his own invention. When Dr. Herman isn’t dedicating his time to his patients, he can be found tinkering in the garage working on classic cars. He has also come to enjoy auto racing and is involved with local clubs. His love is not all for cars though, as he also spends much of his time touring museums in various cities and making charitable contributions to the arts and dance.
