About Generand C. Algenio, DDS
Dr. Algenio is happy to call the South Suburbs of Chicago his home. He and his three daughters have been living and working in the area since 2001. Dr. Algenio graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1998 from Northwestern University. He attended the University of Iowa where he spent the next three years finishing two residencies and completing his Master's Degree in both Pediatric Dentistry and Public Health Dentistry. Dr. Algenio is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, application, and performance requisite to the delivery of quality patient care. Recently, Dr. Algenio was also voted by Chicago Parent's Magazine as one of Chicago's Favorite Kids Docs! In addition to private practice, he has also served time as an Associate Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at the University Of Illinois Dental School. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Past President of the Illinois Society of Pediatric Dentists, and Chicago Dental Society in which he served as an officer at the local level, Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
