About Gregory D. Camfield, DMD
Dr. Camfield graduated form Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He obtained his Doctrate of Dental Medicine from Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine in 1995. Dr. Camfield has been trained in latest advances in restorative, aesthetic and implant dentistry. He has completed requirements for Fellowship in both the International Congress of Oral Implantologist’s (ICOI) and the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). The ICOI Fellowship is awarded for completing 125 hours of Continuing Education in conjuncion with live patient surgical instruction in implant dentistry. The AGD Fellowship is awarded for completing 500 hours of Continuing Education and passing and extensive exam covering all aspects of dentistry. This advanced education designation is held by less than 7% of dentists nationwide. In addition Dr. Camfield has completed three separate post-graduate programs since graduating from dental school: The Misch International Institute, The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study and The Schuster Center for Professional Development. As of 2018, Dr. Camfield has started the intensive education curriculum at The Kois Center in Seattle, Washington. It is the only Continuing Education program in the country conducting and publishing independent research. It is a self funded learning center, which means, it does not accept sponsorship funding. This creates a learning environment without the sway of an agenda of dental product sponsors. In his free time, Dr. Camfield enjoys watching his kids many activities, travel, scuba diving, photography and reading. Dr Camfield and his wife Julie live in Chesterfield and have three children, Geoffrey (18) Samantha (16) and Summer (6). Julie is a Talent Mangement Operations Lead at Bayer Corporation . She has her Masters Degree in Professional Counseling and recently earned her Certificate in Industrial Psychology. Geoffrey will be attending Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama on a Baseball scholarship in the Fall of 2019 and is a graduate of Chaminade College Prep. Samantha is a Junior at St. Joeseph’s Academy and is an All State Diver, winning her Conference meet and finishing 4th overall in the state of Missouri. Summer attends Kindergarten at Incarnate Word and loves gymnastics, art and unicorns.
