About Harveer Kaur, DDS
Dr. Kaur’s decision to pursue dentistry was spurred on by a traumatic event. When she was just ten years old, her grandparents were in a fatal car accident. The only one to survive was her grandmother, who suffered great injuries including a broken jaw. Her grandmother was forced to have her jaw wired shut for over six months. The young Harveer watched helplessly as her grandmother couldn’t eat and couldn’t smile. Though she missed her grandmother’s smile tremendously, it was watching her grandmother suffer which was hardest to take. This experiences ignited a passion for her to help others with their dental needs. It’s that passion along with the belief that her purpose is to imporve people’s lives that bring her to work each day with a positive attitude. She believes in conservative dentistry, which means saving as much tooth structure as possible. She’ll never do an unnecessary extraction. Additionally, it’s important to her for her patients to make informed decisions about their teeth. She’ll take as much time as necessary to explain what the issues are and all their options for a positive outcome. Continuing education is a large part of her philosophy. In fact, she’s made it a goal to keep up with the latest advancements as well as consistently developing new skills and knowledge.
