About Helene V. Zimnes, DMD
Dr. Zimnes has been practicing dentistry for more than 20 years. She graduated from the College of New Jersey in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Minor in Psychology. She then went on to become a licensed hygienist with highest honors. She was honored with the Frank M. Chambers Award for academic achievement. After graduating from hygiene school, Dr. Zimnes immediately went into dental school. She graduated with honors as a Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1997. She was a member of the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and received the Certificate of Merit for Achievement in Oral Medicine awarded by the American Academy of Oral Medicine. Dr. Zimnes is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, and the MOACDS, and has furthered her professional knowledge locally and nationally through various continuing education programs. Dr. Zimnes finds her profession rewarding and feels particular pride in knowing she is making a difference in her patients’ lives by guiding them to good oral health and overall wellness. She also feels it very gratifying to be a part of her patients’ individual journeys toward optimum dental health. In her free time, Dr. Zimnes enjoys spending time with family, biking on Sandy Hook, and cooking.
