About Jamie Y. Denoncourt, DDS
Dr. Jamie Y. Denoncourt grew up in Richmond, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from The College of William and Mary. After several years of working in the dental and medical fields, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Denoncourt attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Physiology in 2009. She then attended VCU School of Dentistry and obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2013. While in dental school, she was awarded the Oliver Wendell Clough Award for Excellence in Restorative Dentistry, and the Quintessence Award for Academic Achievement, several Clinical Commendations in General Dentistry. While in dental school, she volunteered in numerous Virginia Dental Association sponsored Mission of Mercy Projects. As a senior she was a co-coordinator of the international dental service trip to Trelawny, Jamaica and had the opportunity to travel to Jamaica and provide much needed dental care to the residents of Trelawny. Dr. Denoncourt is a member of the American Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Richmond Dental Society. She keeps her dental knowledge current by attending continuing education courses, study clubs, and meetings and conventions. She chose to be a general dentist because she enjoys being able to provide comprehensive dental care to her patients and having them be active participants in their oral care. She strives to make her patient’s feel as comfortable as possible during their visits. She is here to help with all their dental needs from fillings, extractions, root canals, crown and bridge, implants to cosmetic work. She’s also speaks Mandarin Chinese. In her free time, Dr. Denoncourt enjoys spending her time with her husband Josh, their two rescue dogs, Odin and Arya, and their new baby, Emma. She also enjoys cooking, baking, reading, traveling, and spending time with her extended family and friends.
