About Jeaneen A. Chappell, MD
Jeaneen A. Chappell, MD: Dr. Chappell is a board certified dermatologist who was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Hampton University, where she graduated summa cum laude. She was prestigiously ranked ninth overall at the University. She returned to her hometown to earn her Doctorate of Medicine from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 2007. Dr. Chappell completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she spent time in the Dermatology Department learning about skin of color. Dr. Chappell then moved to St. Louis, Missouri, to complete her Research Fellowship in cosmetic and general dermatology and her Dermatology Residency at St. Louis University Hospital. After residency, Dr. Chappell was selected by the American Academy of Dermatology to complete a Biotechnology Fellowship at Galderma Headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France. Dr. Chappell returned to the USA to start her career in private practice. Her research background has enhanced her practice of cosmetic and general dermatology. She has a true eye for detail and a methodical approach to problem solving. A true people person, she enjoys engaging her patients while developing comprehensive and tailored treatment plans. Dr. Chappell's professional interests include all aspects of general and cosmetic dermatology, including skin of color. Outside of the office, Dr. Chappell explores various cultures with her daughter through travel, reading, and food. Her other personal interests include photography, dance, and cooking. Her spice cabinet is a grand display of her travels to international markets. Dr. Chappell is excited to have made Dallas, Texas her new home and she looks forward to providing quality care to the community.
