About Jeffrey M. Pivor, DDS
Dr. Pivor graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. from New York University as a member of the academic honor society, Phi Beta Kappa. He went on to earn his D.D.S. from New York University College of Dentistry. The doctor completed his general practice residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City where he received advanced training in all areas of general dentistry. Dr. Pivor opened his private practice in 1978. He is a Senior Attending at Norwalk Hospital. He also taught in the postgraduate residency program at Danbury Hospital. Dr. Pivor has worked as a volunteer at the Connecticut State Dental Association, ""Mission of Mercy"" and is a consultant to the Connecticut Department of Public Health. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Norwalk Dental Society. In 2009 and 2011, Dr. Pivor was voted one of Connecticut Magazine's Top Dentists, and, in 2011, was voted one of America's Top Dentists by the Consumer Research Council of America. On a personal note, Dr. Pivor is married to his high school sweetheart, Holly. They are the proud parents of two sons; Mike, married to Heather; and Ken, married to Erica. With a love of the outdoors, Dr. Pivor spends time kayaking, biking, hiking, and going on adventure trips. He also enjoys working out at the gym. An avid Yankees fan, the doctor also loves to read and listen to jazz. And, after 36 years of marriage and loving food, he has started to learn how to cook. Active in the community, Dr. Pivor and his wife co-chair the Norwalk Hospital Whittingham Cancer Center Walk/Run. He is also co-facilitator of a support group for partners of breast cancer patients at Norwalk Hospital.
