About Jennifer H. Kim, DDS
Dr. Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, and moved to the States at the tender age of two. She grew up in a number of cities throughout northern and southern California, including San Francisco, Monterey, San Jose, San Ramon, and Los Angeles. Dr. Kim is a second-generation dentist. Her father, who was a dentist in the U.S. Army and later had a private practice in San Jose, passed away when Dr. Kim was only sixteen years old. With two younger siblings who were only six and nine at the time, she learned what growing up quickly meant and the value of hard work, and did her best to fill her father’s shoes as the head of household. Despite her tragic loss at a young age, Dr. Kim continued to excel academically and ended up following in her father’s footsteps as a dentist. Dr. Kim received her undergraduate education from the University of California, Davis, and obtained her doctorate at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Dentistry. Throughout herscholastic career, Dr. Kim not only excelled academically and graduated with honors, but also embraced numerous leadership roles and became involved in a number of outreach activities, including a mission trip abroad (to Moldovia) as well as local community service with children and the homeless. Prior to establishing her own practice in Dublin, she worked as an associate doctor in the East Bay. Now, with both her dental practice and home in Dublin, she feels fortunate to be able to live and work in the same community.
