About Jennifer M. Tran, DDS
Born and raised in Virginia, Dr. Tran has had a passion for dentistry since high school after a summer spent working in her brother’s dental office. A proud Hokie, she graduated with honors from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Psychology. She then received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry where she graduated cum laude. Her fondest memories of dental school were those spent on externships to clinics all over the state, providing free dental care alongside her classmates. She traveled to Jamaica twice to offer dental services to those in need as a part of the VCU Jamaica Project and Christian Dental Society. She has also participated in many of the Virginia Dental Association’s Mission of Mercy Projects during both her undergraduate and dental school years. Dr. Tran is a big advocate of patient education. She makes it a point to form a strong doctor-patient relationship with every one of her patients. This means including the patient in the entire treatment planning process and spending extra time to address any concerns or questions pertaining to treatment. Although finished with school, Dr. Tran is committed to further expanding her knowledge of dentistry and continuing to give back to her community. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Academy of General Dentistry. In her free time, Dr. Tran enjoys going to college and NFL football games, watching reruns of Friends, and traveling to new places. She makes frequent visits back home to Northern Virginia to spend time with her very large family.
