About Jodi Rachmelowitz, DMD
Originally from Lakewood, New Jersey, Dr. Jodi Rachmelowitz lived and practiced dentistry in Scottsdale, Arizona for most of her 23 plus years of practice. She earned her Undergraduate degree with honors from Boston University, one of the top 3 pre-medical schools in the US. She then graduated from University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine; She became dual certified by both the Eastern and Western regional boards; Dr. Rachmelowitz held an appointment at Harvard School of Dental Medicine as a clinical teaching assistant in 1990-1991. Her interest has been mainly in Cosmetic and Restorative Dentistry. While in Arizona, she practiced with Dr. Joseph R. Cohen, founder of Southwest Pain Management Associates. Dr. Cohen is one of 8 National Consultants of the American Dental association and past President of the American Academy of Oralfacial Pain and currently an adjunct Assistant Professor at the Oralfacial Pain Center at UCLA. Jodi Rachmelowitz, D.M.D, L.L.C. In addition, Dr. Rachmelowitz volunteered at John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix to treat under-privileged children. She also gave lectures to school nurses on ""Dental Emergencies in School Aged Children"" and performed dental health screening exams at public elementary schools in low income areas. Another point of service that she provided was comprehensive dental examinations for the United States Armed Forces to help screen for potential dental emergencies prior to our service men and women being deployed overseas. On returning home to New Jersey, Dr. Rachmelowitz opened her own practice that would incorporate some of the western philosophies with the eastern core of her education. In fact, her new office reflects the serenity of Arizona with a touch of New Jersey, integrating earth tone colors and smooth music for the perfect mix. Dr. Jodi Rachmelowitz wants to help you capture the smile of health! To keep current with continuing education, Dr. Rachmelowitz takes advanced level courses with respected and accomplished experts including Dr. Frank Spear at the Seattle Institute of Advanced Dental Education, Seattle, WA. She has also attended courses by Cosmetic experts including Dr. Larry Rosenthal of the Rosenthal Institute and Dr. Bill Dorfman, famous for his work on ABC's hit show, ""Extreme Makeover"". Dr. Rachmelowitz is dedicated to providing her patients with a caring attitude and a commitment to excellence. According to Dr. Jodi Rachmelowitz, ""My patients deserve to understand their current level of dental health. The most rewarding part of my profession is taking motivated patients to optimal dental health and then improving their smiles cosmetically. We work together to allow them to acquire and maintain their smile for a lifetime. She adds, ""I know that I can help patients look better, feel better, and enhance their quality of life. By explaining in detail the patient's existing state of oral health and options for treatment, my patients can better understand and participate in their treatment planning. Outside the office, Dr. Jodi Rachmelowitz enjoys volunteering with JDRF, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, to help find a cure for the millions of people who suffer from Juvenile Diabetes. Dr. Rachmelowitz has been active with the organization since 2004.
