About John H. Cude, DDS
A native of Dallas, Dr. Cude has practiced adult restorative, prosthetic and esthetic dentistry in Preston Center for over 40 years. While maintaining a solo private practice, Dr. Cude has continued to expand and enhance his clinical expertise with extensive continuing education studies including completing a 3 year master’s level practice management program at the Pride Institute in San Raphael, CA and participating in the Seattle Study Club for Continuing Education in Clinical Dentistry. Dr. Cude has also received training in the cosmetic and implant fields of dentistry. Dr. Cude is a member of the Dallas County Dental Society, The Texas Dental Society and the American Dental Society. In the community, Dr. Cude is an active member of The Episcopal Church of the Incarnation where he serves as an usher, a regular volunteer at the Austin Street Shelter, a member of the Intercessory Prayer Team and has participated in numerous mission trips. As part of the Church’s mission efforts in Honduras, Dr. Cude has made many trips to the Central American Country to provide dental care in rural areas where he often serves with limited electricity and running water. Treating both children and adults, Dr. Cude ‘s only payment in Honduras is sometimes a bouquet of native flowers or an endearing hug from a grateful patient. “It is such a rewarding experience as most of these wonderful people have never seen a dentist and have unbelievable dental health issues because of it,"" explains Dr. Cude. ""We are so fortunate in the United States to have such exceptional care available,"" continues the dentist. Dr. Cude is passionate about his work in Honduras, but he has been actively involved in a number of civic organizations in Dallas including the La Fiesta de La Seis Banderas, Park Cities Historical and Preservations Society, Dallas Summer Musicals and the Dallas Antique and Fine Arts Society where he served as the 2012-13 President. Dr. Cude attended Tulane University and graduated from Highland Park High School, North Texas State University and Baylor College of Dentistry. He is married to Sandra Graham Cude for more than 40 years, and they have two adult children: Hampton Cude and Jennifer Cude Clifton who is married to Jeff Clifton. Dr. Cude has two grandsons, Cooper Graham Clifton and John Hammond Clifton (Jack), who is named after Dr. Cude.
