About Juan A. Rosario, MD
Dr. Rosario began his education with a pre-med major at the University of the Sacred Heart and then attended the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico, where he received an academic distinction award. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Damas Hospital and residencies in Damas Hospital and the National Capital Consortium in Washington, D.C. Dr. Rosario was active duty in the military from 1996 until 2006 and served as a Commander in the United States Navy, where he was the department head of both Internal Medicine and Dermatology. Dr. Rosario received multiple commendations and Military awards during his years of service, including Army, Navy Commendation Medals, and a Humanitarian Service Medal. Dr. Rosario is listed in Who’s Who Among Medical Professionals and was the President of the Jacksonville Dermatology Society in 2009. Dr. Rosario is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery. He is Board Certified in Dermatology and Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Mohs Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgery, the Jacksonville Dermatology Society and the Duval County Medical Society. Dr. Rosario enjoys water sports and spending time with his family.
