About Julia R. Winter, DMD
Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Julia’s interest in dentistry was ignited by her dad. She always loved following him to work and was inspired by the way he led his dental practice. From the age of 12, and into college, she spent summers and weekends working the front desk at her dad’s office and assisting on weekend emergencies. A natural go-getter, Dr. Julia challenged herself academically, and held multiple executive board and VP positions for large groups on her college campus (she’s basically Leslie Knope). In 2008, Dr. Julia graduated from Brown University with a BA in Visual Art and Art History, and began working for the Forbes family in NYC to help maintain their public and private art collection (you know, the usual). It was then that she met her husband, Ben, and realized a change of heart in her art career. She decided to pursue what was in her DNA all along: dentistry. Dr. Julia earned her Post Baccalaureate at the University of Pennsylvania and worked full time as a Research Assistant at Penn Dental. She graduated with her DMD from the University of Louisville Dental School and naturally made her way back to the City of Brotherly Love. Beyond the office, Dr. Julia finds joy in spending time with her two little ones, True Crime podcasts, crossword puzzle dates with Ben, and Sunday morning rituals featuring Philly’s locally owned coffee shops and donuts. Well, what do you know - Philadelphia is pretty sunny. Dr. Julia is excited to establish a dental space in Ridley Township where compassion, inclusion, and oral health thrive, and she can’t wait to get to know you!
