About Julie Ferrauiola, MD
Dr. Julie Ferrauiola is an American Board of Surgery certified general surgeon completing her plastic surgery residency at University of Texas Health San Antonio and will be joining Dr. Richard D’Amico in Englewood, NJ in July of 2019. Dr. Ferrauiola’s training specializes in comprehensive plastic surgery, including cosmetic and aesthetic, body contouring, reconstructive and microsurgery, breast reconstruction, hand surgery, facial trauma, and a spectrum of non-surgical rejuvenation and interventions. Dr. Julie Ferrauiola is an active resident member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) with appointments to the Legislative Advocacy Committee, Residency Council, and Regenerative Medicine Sub-committee. Additionally, she is the first resident selected for the ASPS Essentials of Leadership Program, recognizing future leaders of the specialty. Dr. Ferrauiola was born at Englewood Hospital and raised in Tenafly, NJ. Dr. Ferrauiola should have known she was destined for plastic surgery when she was six years old watching Dr. D’Amico sew up her 4-year-old sister’s facial laceration. She initially chose a different path and pursued private fine arts training in the visual art studio of Soyoo Park. She earned the NJ Governor of the Arts Scholarship and then worked in fashion design and fine arts industry for several years before embracing her true calling to bettering human lives. Dr. D’Amico has served as a mentor and exemplar throughout her medical training, and she looks forward to returning home and joining Dr. D’Amico in serving the cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgical needs of our community.
