About Kapila V. Paghdal, MD
Dr. Kapila V. Paghdal is a board certified dermatologist who specializes in cosmetics, lasers, and skin cancer surgery. Dr. Paghdal completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine, where she was trained in Mohs Surgery, a special technique for removing skin cancer. Prior to this, she completed a residency in Dermatology at the University of South Florida, where she was able to work with a wide range of patients. She cared for patients and veterans at Moffitt Cancer Center and James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital treating both medical and surgical dermatologic concerns. Dr. Paghdal is one of a few dermatologists in the country with both an M.D. and a Doctorate in Pharmacy. She completed her Doctorate in Medicine at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for academic achievement and the Gold Humanism Honor Society for compassion and dedication to service. At Rutgers’ Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, she was inducted into the Rho Chi Honor Society. Her training in pharmaceutical chemistry and its application enhances her patient care knowledge to effectively treat conditions such as skin cancer, acne, psoriasis and scarring, as well as aging (wrinkles, texture abnormalities and hyperpigmentation) for all skin types. She has published many articles on various drugs and their effects on skin conditions and has authored book chapters regarding Mohs surgery and surgical techniques. Dr. Paghdal’s clinical research experience includes research studies involving melanoma, platelet rich plasma (PRP), hyaluronidase, scarring, Botox, and subcision for acne scarring. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, and the American College of Mohs Surgery.
