About Karam Alrousan, BDS
Dr. Karam Al-Rousan attended the Jordan University of Science & Technology, she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Dental Science in 1998. She began her professional career as an associate for a senior prosthodontist in her community where she developed a keen interest in the field of prosthodontics. Dr. Al-Rousan then practiced family and cosmetic dentistry in her home town for six years. While in private practice, she volunteered with the local Dental Association program providing dental care to the elderly citizens in underserved areas. Dr. Alrousan joined the graduate prosthodontic program for 3 years at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. During this program she had advanced training in removable and fixed prosthodontics (i.e. Dentures and Bridges), surgical placement of implants, replacing the missing teeth and restoring the jaws using implants and cosmetic dentistry. She is actively researching the fit of recently developed material (Zirconia) when used in crown and bridge restoration. During her course of study at the University of Michigan, Dr. Karam Al-Rousan was awarded the non-traditional fellowship by Rackham Graduate School in addition to the prestigious CEW award from the Center of the education of Women. After graduation, she also works as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at the University of Michigan where she transcends her clinical knowledge and expertise to her students and future dentists. In addition to teaching at University of Michigan, she is glad to practice in a state of the art modern practice, serving the dental needs of the community in Canton, MI, and the surrounding areas. She has a passion for smile makeovers and dental photography. She resides in Canton MI, and is married and a mother to two children. In her free time, Dr. Al-Rousan enjoys travel, photography and cake decoration. Dr. Alrousan is a member at the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) and the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP).
