About Karl J. Armstrong, DDS
Dr. K. John Armstrong D.D.S. grew up in South Jordan Utah. He received his BA degree at Utah State University. He moved to the mid-west and attended Creighton University School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 1999. Upon graduation, he practiced dentistry in Taylorville with his father and then moved to Southern Utah for 13 years. He and his wife Jill desired to be closer to extended family and moved north to become part of the Apex Dental family in the summer of 2012. Since graduating from Dental School, Dr. Armstrong has completed numerous hours of continuing education in many areas of dentistry. He graduated from the Mid America Orthodontic Society for Advanced Orthodontics and TMJ in 2000, received advanced education with the International Association for Orthodontics/TMJ and associate membership in 2003, and became a graduate of the DOCS course for Conscious Sedation in April 2004. He received his certification in International Center Laser Education (ICLE) in May 2010. Remarkably, Dr. Armstrong also received his Ultra Speed CO2 laser certification in March 2011, an achievement which less than 5% of dentists obtain. To stay abreast at the latest advancements in dentistry, implant training is ongoing with courses at the PCC Implant Surgery Center, Northstar Dental. Most recently, he completed an implant residency course of the world famous White Cap Institute in Heber, Utah.
