About Katherine Zamecki, MD
Dr. Katherine Zamecki is a board-certified ophthalmologist with fellowship training in orbital and oculoplastic surgery. She graduated cum laude from Barnard College with a B.A. in Anthropology. She received her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. During medical school, she excelled academically and was elected into the honorable Alpha Omega Alpha Society Honor Medical Society, an elite group of medical professionals recognized for their excellence in scholarship and honorable virtues. Katherine went on to complete a medical internship at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where she was one of a select few to be elected “Intern of the Year.” She completed her ophthalmology residency at the Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and went on to a fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. During the fellowship, she had extensive exposure to surgery and diseases of the eyelids, orbit, and lacrimal system. Katherine is interested and experienced in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, as well as soft tissue augmentation with fillers such as Radiesse, Juvederm, Restylane, and Perlane. She is skilled in Botox, both for blepharospasm and aesthetic indications.
