Dr. Kenneth Thomas was raised in Eastpointe (East Detroit), Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with honors, double majoring in Biology and Psychology, from Adrian College in 1980 where he was an active member of the Theta Chi Fraternity. He earned his Doctoral of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 1984. Following graduation, he began working with his uncle, Dr. Robert Colvin, DDS in Waterford, Michigan. Dr. Thomas enjoys getting to know his patients and takes the time to explain treatment options clearly before proceeding. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Oakland County Dental Society. He has kept up to date with continuing education classes and state-of-the-art techniques to ensure that his patients receive the most comprehensive and advanced dental care. As a testament of this, he has been credentialed as a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Thomas has been voted an Hour Detroit Magazine Top Dentist for 13 consecutive years. Top Dentist is an extensive peer review survey in which dentists and specialists in the greater Detroit area cast votes on the abilities of other dentists and specialists, and because listings cannot be purchased, inclusion in Top Dentist is considered an honor. He is honored to be recognized by his peers for his outstanding work ethic and devotion to his patients. Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his family: wife, Vicki and two children, Courtney and Dr. Matthew Thomas, DDS. He is an avid University of Michigan football fan and enjoys gardening (re-landscaping) and traveling.
