About Louis T. Core, DDS
Dr. Louis Core graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelors of science degree in zoology. He then went on to Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, Illinois, and at graduation, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After graduating from Northwestern in 1996, Dr. Core continued his pursuit of knowledge, completing a two-year course in orthodontics in 1999 and a one-year aesthetic residency in 2002. Dr. Core recently returned to Arizona State University's WP Carey School of Business in 2016 to complete his Masters in Business Administration (MBA). Dr. Core is a Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD), an honor earned by fewer than one percent of practicing dentists in the U.S. in the past 60 years. Invisalign® awarded Dr. Core with their Innovator Award in 2003 for his commitment to excellence. In 2005, Invisalign® recognized him as a Premier Provider, and is in the top 1% of general practitioners for Invisalign® in the world for his experience with the technology. Dr. Core was selected as a finalist for the Phoenix Business Journal's Healthcare Heroes Award in 2006, and received the Spirit of Compassion award in 2007 from the Attorney General's office of the State of Arizona for his work with victims of crime. As a participating dentist in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry's “Give Back a Smile” program, he has served with other general dentists and specialists providing free restorative dental care to women who have sustained dental traumas as a result of domestic violence. In addition, Dr. Core holds a license to administer intravenous conscious sedation, which allows him to provide quality care in a stress-free environment for his patients. The Arizona Board of Dental Examiners frequently tasks Dr. Core with travelling around the valley to train and inspect other dentists to ensure that they are accurately administering IV sedation and complying with state regulations. Dr. Core is also a nationally published author on IV sedation best practices. He attends more than 100 hours of continuing education each year and dedicates himself to learning about and becoming skilled with the new advances and the latest technologies in dentistry. His extensive training in many areas of dentistry allows him to understand each patient's unique dental situation and enables him to create a customized and comprehensive treatment plan. In his free time, Dr. Core enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He also enjoys maintaining an active lifestyle by participating in local marathons, triathlons, including the Ironman® competition in Tempe, AZ.
